In Three Years Part 4 - The Kiss Of The Century

 There's only one person in the whole wide world who could make your heart skip a beat, make your name sound special, and give you the kiss of the century.

"Nani ga okotta no ka(What happened), Yuri?"

" It's S.-kun, he got runned over by a car while, he was walking in the street."

"Nani?(What?) Where are you?"

"Aiiku Hospital, M.-kun hurry!" sobs some more.

"I'm on the way. Taxi! Aiiku Hospital." 

*Aiiku Hospital( T.-kun's room-12-second floor)

"H., Waa you came, Yuri told me you were busy with the girl you met."

"Baka.(scoffs) You shouldn't worry about me. What happened to you."

"Aah..for some reason while I was walking on the street after shopping in the market. This car came from out of the street and into the sidewalk and hit my leg, but it's no big deal. The doctor said it wasn't broken. I just need to rest."

Sighs in relief "That's good to hear. Yuri, you should stop crying now."

"M.-kun~~ How can I. You don't get it at all!" Runs out of the room.

"Ah..don't bother with her, she's just overreacting again."

"You're right. but, T. we all were really worried. Especially Yuri, you know she has feelings for you, but you still insist on treating her like, you don't even know."

"I know I need to tell her how I feel." *Sighs* looks back with a dubious look on his face. "H., what about that girl you and Yuri have been telling me about. I heard she's quite the looker."

"Ha! well, I like her a lot; like a lot a lot."

"I know you do, but does she know that?"

"She.......gets how I feel. I did tell her that it was love at first sight."

"Makes sense you always fall in love recklessly. So, what made her so special that you didn't show up to the company's open ceremony and meeting. I heard from Yuri."

"How does that girl know so much, she should concentrate more on school." Both laughs

"She's really observant. But, really what is it?"

"I don't know, when I just see that look on her face that says "You're an idiot or You're so annoying"."

"Ah...uh"

"What I'm trying to say is that, I love how she expresses herself so freely and when she wants something she just says or does it. I know it's stupid." He rubs his neck as he looks at the floor.

"No, it isn't. Have you told her this?"

"Actually no. Every time I try to, I chicken out and it's even worst when she looks at me straight in the eyes." He held put his hands in an over exaggerated matter.

"And, she's 19, right?" He moves to the side of the bed.

"Ah..Hm." He nods.

"Six year age difference, That's harsh." He looks at him.

"I feel even though, I tell her these things. She won't believe me and I wonder when will my feeling ever reach her." 

"Maybe, it has. You never know, just be patient and get to know her better."

"I have and sh...she's just amazing. But, she's leaving in a month. T. Otake~~?" Shakes T.'s shoulder, the beeper of the bed goes off. Both laugh nervously.

"H. You should just spend more time with her then, take her out or something. You really like her don't you." H. looks at him with puppy  eyes. Then Yuri comes in as she wipes away her tears with tissue.

"Ah~~ H. can you give us a minute."

"Eh? ah...Okay, T., I'll visit you tomorrow. Get well soon and Yuri take care of him, I leave him in your hands."

"Ah~ M.-kun." He holds her shoulders with both hands and walks out the room. "T. Bye Bye." and gave a thumbs up.

Outside the Door, M.-sama smiles, then walks away down the hallway. He picks up his phone to make a call. My phone rings all of a sudden as, I  finished eating my noodles when I looked to see who it was, it was M.-sama~! I sip some of the noodles then wiped my mouth. 

"M.-sama?"

"Ah~! You picked up. It so late at night, already. You're not in bed?"

"No. Actually, I just finished eating dinner and blogging. What's up?"

"Um..you're.." He leaned against the white walls in the hospital hallway. 

"Hm? What is it?" I put my dish inside the sink. He seemed hesitant.

He sighed then smiled "Nothing, are you coming tomorrow?"

"Oh yes, it was quite fun today. Tomorrow..what's your schedule." I said excitedly.

"A reality show then a guest performance at a concert to raise awareness for AIDS. And, if it's fine with you, I want to introduce you to somebody. Tomorrow." He listed then paused. "Is everything alright?  you know,  you don’t have to really come, if you don't want t-"

"No. It's fine, I want to and stop saying "If you want to". I mean I want to, I'll be there...but are we gonna meet up somewhere or -"

"I'll pick you up..at the hotel." He said suddenly.

"Good. Good Night then." I laid on my bed.

"Good Night." He said as he closed his phone. "I couldn't say it." He messed up his hair and sat on the floor.

"What was he trying to say? He didn't call me just for that." I suspected as I held my pillow in my arms. I was already yawning and decided to go to bed now. 

The Next Morning....

"Ohayo~!" He waved outside as, I walked outside the spinning heavy glass doors. 

"Ohayo, M-" 

"Ah~"

"H.-kun." I said bluntly. 

"Waa~ she said it!"

"Yeah, don't patronize yourself." I  waved my hand in his face "So, where are we going first?"

"Before that, your shoes-"

"What's wrong?"

"Are you sure, you don't want to change?"

"Ah~! Let's just go!" I messed my hair and start to push him away from the hotel.

"I'm just saying your feet will hurt later."

"I can handle myself. Thank you."

"Okay then. Taxi!"

"Let's go!!" I pushed him into the taxi.

Day 3: A.- Reality Game Show(Here We Go!)

We got into the van wherein H.-kun's manager was there sitting in the front seat, the driver, the who girl woke me up on the stairs the other day, and his wardrobe people and bodyguards. I was sitting on the backseat next H.-kun, I was there as an assistant to H.-kun. His manager made it up so, that people wouldn't suspect our relationship and start rumors. I wore a green card like, the others and always walked behind H.-kun, he insisted so, I wouldn't get lost. We were lead into backstage as H.-kun waited then walked in a few seconds later.

Everybody let's all welcome, M. H. of A. Company.(H.-kun walks in and waves to the crowd) He has been famous for his excellent acting skills and works. He is also been awarded "Rookie Of The Year" twice in a row.(The host and H.-kun both sit on the couch) And, he is also been working on a new movie which, will be coming out this year. But, I bet you girls already know that, right? *fangirl screams*

"So, M.-san a new hit drama and you've been in the industry for thirteen years. Aren't you tired already? Don't you want to settle down and take marriage vows, like the other famous stars?"

*Laughs* ."Well...I don't plan on quitting the industry just yet. I'm still young and I want to do my best to become more of an improved actor and performer and I feel like,  I haven't quite done  that yet. Being famous is just something that comes along with the job, but that's not what I'm after. I'm after becoming number one in the acting industry." *smiles* *fangirl screams*

"Ah~ very very detailed and honest. I like you, we should arrange a blind date with my daughter. (H.-kun looks surprised) I'm joking, girls. (fangirls laugh nervously) But, what is you're ideal woman or lady?"

"Girl's with black hair." He nodded as he waved his left hand to the side of his hair and slide it down like, he was indicating it; to the audiences. *fangirl screams "I Love You~!!"

"I love you, too. Thank you." He waved at them.

"Ah~ not detailed. I see you don't like, talking about your personal life. One more question before we go into commercial. Do you have a special person in your life as of right now?"

The crowd drew silent to hear his answer and the host looked eager as well. I just looked at the screen and gulped. I watched him nervously look around then nervously laughed then looked at the host seriously. "Hai~ I do."  

"Well, there you have it. the boy does have a woman he likes and for a minute there I thought you were gay." He laughed loudly. H.-kun looked at him in surprise. Everyone was watching....for it was live. All the fangirls around the world, T. and Yuri at the hospital, and H.-kun's company. I wasn't shocked and just clapped with the crowd. He came to the backstage and I was there waiting for him. He looked scared when he saw me and I just laughed and got up from sitting on the black speaker and I  gave him a towel to wipe his face. "Hai~korede(here)" 

Then I walked away, smiling. I left him puzzled and he just held the towel in his hands and watch me walk away. The other half of the show was going to begin so, he wiped his face and  yelled out "Sen kyou/Arigato(Thank you)!" and went back outside. 

B.- Concert For Awareness Of AIDS

The show ended by five pm and the concert where H.-kun was to perform was already preparing and stage testing. So, we had to get into the van and drive all the way to _________. When we got there, I was amazed to how big the stadium and stage was. It was truly something. I took some pictures with the crew unfortunately, H.-kun had to go through wardrobe and practice before the concert and so, we didn't get to take a picture together. i  wrote in my diary while H.-kun and other bands practiced on the stage. 

I wasn't alone later the girl who woke me up on the stairs came and sat next to me. She was very pretty looking like, a traditional Japanese woman. I just stared at her medium black hair. She looked pleased to see me. I just couldn't stop staring at her, then finally she asked. 

"Ano~ what is your name?"

"Howe? Ah~ hhah um..Ashuri, but you can call me Ashley." I stopped staring. 

"I'm Nagasawa Yuri. Nice to meet you." She bowed.

"Do you speak fluent Japanese?"

"Not really, but enough to understand what people are saying. You're so young and beautiful." I said out of amazement. She laughed off the comment and said that I was funny.

"Actually this is just my part- time job, My mom works around here."

"Oh! really. Sugoi!!"

"Yeah, well she's not really that cool." She looked around before she said it.

"Eh? and why not?" I held her hand on her lap.

"Because, my mom is very controlling over M.-kun." She said.

"Controlling? M.-kun?" I felt somewhat jealous in a way.

"Yes. Because my mom you see is M.-kun's manager." She whispered.

"Eh? why are you whispering?"

"It's not that I'm ashamed, but my mother doesn't want anyone to know that I'm her daughter at work. She wants to keep our relationship professional." 

"I see. that's harsh." I took my  hands off her hands and folded my legs and looked towards the stage. "It must be really rough on you, huh?"

"Sometimes, but at least she doesn't hit me as much."

"She abuses you!" 

"I'm sorry, to have burden you with my problems." She got up and bowed and planned to walk away, but I  got up and hugged her instead. I hugged her tightly, but gently enough for her to take a deep breath and let it out. H.-kun walked into the stage and stopped at his tracks when he saw me and Yuri hug and he just smiled out of curiosity. 

After we hugged she smiled and wiped a tear. "Thank you, Oneechan!" I looked at her and just smiled. We sat back down and talked a bit more. "So, you're Mom is very uptight.....what about your father?"

"Ah...well you see, He died two years ago."

"I'm so sorry."

"No. It's okay, that's why I could understand why my Mom acts like that."

"And she wasn't before?"

"Well, she never hit me until the passing of my Dad. That's why I'm very grateful to M.-kun."

"Oh you two are brother and sister?" I shouted. Everyone of people who were arranging the lights turned their heads. Yuri just laughed. "I wish. Actually, me and M.-kun grew up together. Because our dad's were best friends. He was there when I was born!" She said proudly.

"Wow. And, you have no feelings for him at all?" I asked all of a sudden.

"Ahah..No, not really I've never thought of him that way. He's always been there for me and a shoulder to cry on. But, I sorta like, H.-kun's best friend." she blushed to the side.

"Best friend, you mean S.T.? Oh My Gosh!~  I loved him in B. M. and same goes for H.-kun. I literally couldn't shoe between them. I'm sorry, don't tell them I said that. I'm bit of a fangirl." 

"Hm.(she nodded) for a long time now. He's been so nice to me. I remember every time he would come to M.-kun's house. I would go over and give him home-made chocolates."

"Wow~~So, mature! I haven't even gave a guy anything yet alone home-made chocolates. I'm a horrible cook that's why. So, you've liked S.-san since you were....."

"Eight years old. He would always eat them and I would yell at M.-kun to stay away from them, because they were only for S.-kun."  She smiled to herself then it quickly faded and she looked down.  "But, lately he's been busy working abroad and sometimes he would come back to Japan, but to busy to see me or he just comes and goes and doesn't even bother to tell me when he arrives, because he said it was too troublesome for me to pick him up." She began to tear up again and the only thing I could think of was. 

"He's an idiot!" I said, she looked up to me and tried to defend him. "No, he's an idiot because   he doesn't even tell you when he comes and troublesome? I thought they were both cool, but know I feel sorta disappointed at the fact that they seem so selfish and self-involved. Yuri-chan! it's not to late to tell him how you feel, but how old are you?"

"I'm seventeen, that's why Oneechan. I admire you!" She praised. 

"B-but why?"

"Because you're an adult and you and M.-kun can be together." She said out of the blue.

"Ow~ well, you see, I'm not sure if H.-kun see's me in that way. I'm far too young, he probably just thinks of me as, another young fangirl." I said as I held tightly to my diary as, I can feel the words I just said dig into my heart. Because, I know it's the truth and I look pathetic following him around, but it's just for the experience. "You see, he doesn't even take me seriously." I said.

"No!" she shouted. "He does, I've never in my life have seen M.-kun this happy than when he is with you." She reasoned.

"Yeah..well, that's just because I'm funny. A lot of people smile and laugh because of me. I'm a real jokester." I did laughed. 

"Then tell me this, do you want him to take you seriously?" I stopped laughing and my face looked frustrated and serious. 

"No." I answered. 

"But...why not?" She shook me.

"Because, even though.......ah what I'm I saying, besides you're too young to understand. You know when I was seventeen, I was exactly like you, but not as pretty and definitely not as good as a cook as you, but I liked older guys who were stars and I thought they were amazing. But, one day I grew up and I had no choice, but to accept the fact there is no "perfect guy". And, that my list was just full of childish nonsense. Chasing after something that doesn't exist to begin with. Is just silly. So, take my advice Yuri-chan stop waiting around for someone whose never gonna love you back. I had my wake up call around sixteen and learned my lesson the hard way and till this day the words just encircle my head like, a Shakespeare poem." 

I walked away, for I have realized I said some things that were not in my place to begin with and now i fully regret it. Yuri-chan followed after and grabbed my wrist with her head down low and I could only see her hair. She wouldn't let go so, I tried to apologized, but then she yelled out. "Oneechan,You don't know how it feels! to like someone for a very long time and you know it's just never gonna happen, but you push and push yourself to believe that it will and you get depressed, so depressed that you can't concentrate on school, because you're always thinking about what he's doing or where is he now. Then after all those years and finally to have him back sitting on a bed in front of you, because he got an injured leg and tell you straight out that he knew all this time that you liked him and he never said anything or did anything and finally........he just tells you straight out that you're too young for him and that he will never like you back, because he thinks of you as a little sister. YOU DON'T KNOW! And, that's why you're lucky that M.-kun likes you for you and not because of your age and no..he see's you more than what your age is. Can't you see that......" 

She let go of my wrist and I was completely moved and at awe. I rubbed my wrist hurt from her strong grip then I said "I'm sorry, you're right. I was just looking out for myself and even thinking about you nor asking you how you felt. Gomen. Did this happen just today?" I moved closer to her and tried to look into her eyes and she just swayed her head meaning no. Then continued..."It happened yesterday night. When I visited him at the hospital, he told me to sit on the chair beside his side table and listen to what he had to say."

"Then what happened?"

"After he told me everything I got up and slapped him in the face and told him that was for lying to me and for leaving me hanging when he knew how I felt. Then after I slapped him I started crying and I looked at him in the eyes and he was expressionless. I regretted  what I did and told him that I was sorry and to get well soon then I grabbed my bag and left."

"Oh Yuri~ ~ ~ " I grabbed her and gave her a big hug one that brought us to the floor. She cried and I cried, because she cried. Then after a little while she calmed down and both our eyes were puffy. We went to the ladies room and fixed ourselves up and then we took our places in the audience and it was show time. The program was very helpful and really brought the house down.

After Yuri's confession it got me thinking about her other question. "If I really did want him to take me seriously." I won't lie I would want to go down that road and see if we can really be a couple and my actor/fangirl dream will finally come true. I tried closing my eyes and counting one to five and the person I love the most would appear. I honestly thought that my Mom would appear one stage, which made me laugh a little.

Instead, H.-kun came on stage it was his turn to sing. "Darnit! stupid theory being proven to be highly accurate." I said in my brain, it was a long shot, but I wanted to try it out anyway. So, when he came on stage, I said out loud "Of course, he comes out." Then Yuri-chan looks at me and told me that, because it was his turn to sing. "I knew that already what I meant was.... never mind." I told her and we both turned on our glowy sticks and began to wave it with the crowd.

The fangirls blew our ears off good thing, that Yuri packed earmuff's and we put them on. Mine was purple with a leopard design and Yuri-chan was pink with a flower design. We both shouted and stuff. We had a great time. But, when H.-kun sang and I had the earmuffs on it was time has stopped and the world just turned slowly. He was so charismatic and handsome in his white and black colored clothes all the way to his black boots.

I  had absolutely no idea what the song meant, but he looked as if he was serenading it to me. I don't want to get all caught up in a way like, "Oh that's me, He's singing to." otherwise it would get messy. Yuri elbowed me when he came to the edge of the stage and sang a note in front of me. i gotta admit i turned all fluff inside. I couldn't stop smiling so, instead I tried to hide it by biting my lip a girl shoved me really hard and I lip began to bleed. I touched my lip with my left hand index finger and saw blood! 

It hurt like a Mother F-----------. I told Yuri-chan and we both got out of the busy crowd and into the backstage to look for band-aids or cotton balls  in one of the H.-kun stylist's bag. So, far it was no good. Then a huge noise was erupting from inside the backstage. We looked back and it was everyone congratulating H.-kun for his hard work and telling him, his performance was great. In other words kissing his ass, which Yuri-chan's Mom quickly said as she walked behind H.-kun. She said "Oh, shut up. Nobody's going to get a raise anytime soon so, back to work." She really doesn't hold back, that's for sure.

Me and Yuri just stood there standing and congratulated H.-kun at the side. He stopped and looked closer to my face. It was like, way up in my face; i turned to the side and tired to hide the cut on my lip, but I guess it was too late. He asked what happened and didn't even give me a chance to explain; he told Yuri to hold my stuff and lead me into his dressing room. Yes, his dressing room. Very fangirl's dream, besides seeing his awesome bod. 

He shut the door and put me on the chair, we frantically looked for something and when there was none, he demanded somebody to get/buy some. Once, it arrived he took one out and smacked it on my which is now my big fat bottom lip. I laughed and said "It's just a minor cut; you make it seem like you're performing surgery or something."

He turned around and then got on his knees and looked me straight in the eye. "You don't get it do you! I'm the one who brought you along meaning I'm responsible for what happened to you."

"I can take care of myself. I'm not twelve!" I shouted.

He looked to the side and choked up a bit "If anything happened to you, I wouldn't forgive myself. I mean my best friend just got runned over a car yesterday and I terrified I would lose him. How much more if it was you?"

I don't know whether it was his eyes again or the words he just said. All I know is that message was pretty much received. I put both my hands onto his face gently and said "I know." then kissed him. It was the very first kiss that I felt like it was meant to be and not fireworks no not like a ticking bomb that would kill a million people, but something more. It just felt so right.  There's only one person in the whole wide world who could make your heart skip a beat, make your name sound special, and give you the kiss of the century.

This time it was definitely not forced nor emotionless, it was perfect. We both savored the moment together and a minute it was ruined when one of H.-kun's bodyguard(the smallest one out of the bunch) Kayawe Saori (He's a guy) walked in on us. He came to look for H.-kun to see if he was alright. H.-kun was so mad he yelled at him to go away, but it totally wrecked my mood and I wasn't in for a second make-out session in his dressing room.

So, I got up and thanked him for the band-aid  and hoped that it was not that much of a disturbance in the kiss. And, he just laughed and said not at all, but he said he kinda tasted a little bit of blood. "Really, really? man." I thought to myself, before I closed the door on him. He asked if this was it, if we were an actual couple now., because it'll look bad if we weren't. I said what I should of said to Yuri's question earlier and said "Yes." Then closed the door happily.

I could hear him yell out the words "Yes" and "Finally".   I got back to where Yuri-chan was sitting and she just gave me that look "Well....". I quickly took my bag from her and told her "I'm not telling you. Children should not hear of such things, because they get thoughts! and urges!" I pointed at her. I walked a few steps then turn back to her sad looking face, because she's dying to know. I told her straight out "It's official! we're together now." I grinned at her. She couldn't stop blinking and got up from the chair and jumped along the side with me, Then H.-kun came out and caught us jumping and we quickly stopped and checked our nails. 

Yuri-chan made up an excuse and said "Ne...Oneechan, right that the guy in the crowd looks cute." She winked at me. I went along and said "Ah~ yes. He is...." i looked to the side and H.-kun was walking forward with his hands in his pockets. "We just became a couple and you're already checking out other guys when you haven't even seen this yet." He slide his hand up and down his body then looked at Yuri "Yuri-chan, you should be ashamed of your poor taste and besides he has AIDS." He whispered into our ears.

"No. he doesn't." I looked at Yuri.

"How would you know, M.-kun. You don't know him." she snared.

"You're right. I don't, but I do know that he's one of the few people who is wearing a t-shirt that says "I have aids and I want to show awareness for it." and is also sitting in the giant crowd, which is getting blood-tested to see what condition they are in now." He pointed as he explained.

Me and Yuri were left clueless and utterly bashed. We just got owned, he did that disappointing sound *nit *nit *nit and continued to walk away with his bodyguards. We both just stood there like, complete idiots. Till, Yuri-chan's Mom yelled out if we were coming or not. We both ran into the van with our stuff at hand. 

I have made new friends and I have now finally found myself  a boyfriend, gosh it sounds so weird, just saying it. But, yes, I finally got what always wanted. It felt like, a dream come true. We fell asleep in the back of the car, We meaning; Me and Yuri and were dropped off  at home  around seven pm. It was a pretty long day and we had to reschedule visiting that "Person" H.-sama wanted me to meet, I was planning on getting myself some comfy z’s. For tomorrow is another busy day........
